Welcome to the Poling Farm ~ where the days are way too short and the memories last a lifetime...

Poling Aquaculture is a small unit fish farm located in Deering, NH. Since 1993 we have been involved in the monoculture and development of the brown bullhead, affectionately know throughout all of New England as the horned pout.

Come visit for a while...
we're sure you'll go home with a better
understanding of farm-based aquaculture
and perhaps even some Poling Horned Pout.

Great stock for your pond,
even better as that night's dinner!

OUR FISH ~

We specialize in the research and harvest of New England's own brown bullhead, the horned pout. But that's not all that swim in our ponds...

Also available are large mouth bass, blue gills, sunfish, crayfish, shiners and more.
FARM TOURS ~

We are open for group tours during the warmer months of June, July, August and September when the fish are active.

This provides a great educational opportunity for schools, clubs and other organizations interested in small unit fish farming, sustainable aquaculture and the important role fish play as both a food source and an environmental enhancer.

Advanced reservations are required -- please call or email us to learn more about available dates and group rates.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Poling Aquaculture has great respect for the wild life that surrounds the farm and we practice safe management techniques to help protect the habitat of these animals.

Deer, bear, fox, beaver, turkeys, hawks, herons, owls, turtles, bats, ducks, barn swallows, numerous songbirds and so many others have been seen.

We also support a wonderful population of frogs, dragonflies and other aquatic life necessary for a healthy pond environment.
